Plural of nouns

Quick rule
Most French nouns become plural with -s, but the article and adjectives must change too.

- un problème important -> des problèmes importants
- le service public -> les services publics
- words ending in -eau often take -x: un bureau -> des bureaux

Common mistakes
- Adding only noun -s and forgetting the adjective
- Using des after a quantity expression such as beaucoup de
- Forgetting irregular plurals such as travaux
